Target Audience: For anyone working in the early years sector, nurseries, schools, childminders or foster carers. The definition of paediatric is up to puberty (UK resus council guidelines).
Childminders will require this to achieve registration.
This course is the Ofsted 12 hour compulsory course for those working in the Early Years sector, nursery or childminders).From 1st July 2016 all newly qualified staff with a childcare level 2 or 3 qualification working in nurseries must have an emergency or full paediatric first aid certificate. Nurseries, where 100% of the staff hold paediatric first aid qualifications and have well deployed first aid processes, will receive a special 'Millie's Mark' endorsement. This will soon become well-known to parents all over the country as a clear indicator of the highest standards in keeping children safe from harm.
Proof of Identity must be produced on day one of the course
There is a 30 question multiple choice test at the end of the course
